Susanna’s place is so lovely. Very new and pristine with a nice little kitchen and table downstairs and a bathroom and bedroom upstairs. Susanna herself was really lovely: very responsive to messages, very happy to meet us to take us to the house, she was even happy to book a restaurant for lunch for us. She seems a super lovely person :) The town itself is quiet and peaceful - if you head upwards to the church (Santuario di Pobiano della Santissima Trinità) you get lovely views and the bit of the village above the road here is really historic, quaint and interesting. There’s a wine bar near Susanna’s, though this was closed while we were there, and a cafe-bar and a separate hotel-cafe with lovely views about 500m along the road running north along the waterfront. There’s a pretty well-stocked shop just slightly higher up the hill (away from the water) in the village too. All in all a lovely place and 100% recommended!

Susanna was a brilliant host, she was very helpful and informative and also friendly. The location and property are both lovely, very close to transport routes! We would definitely recommend!

Wir haben zu zweit für vier Nächte in dem kleinen Häuschen von Susanna übernachtet. Es ist super süß gemacht, alles ist sehr sauber und man hat alles was man braucht. Ein Parkplatz ist ebenfalls vorhanden und nach einem kleinen absolut machbaren Anstieg ist man an der Unterkunft. Susanna ist mega nett und auch die Kommunikation war super einfach. Sie ist eine wirklich tolle Gastgeberin. Alles in allem kann ich einen Aufenthalt bei ihr nur empfehlen! Ein Tipp: man sollte bei der Anfahrt unbedingt genau auf die Anweisungen von Susanna hören. Die Bergdörfer am Comer See mit ihren kleinen Sträßchen können sonst zur Herausforderung werden.

Susanna’s house was deceptively spacious and perfect for our stay in Carate Urio, clean, comfortable and with everything we required. Susanna herself is an absolute treasure, her infectious good humour and generosity of spirit made this a very memorable stay. She was always very quick to respond to any message or question we posed and imparted a wealth of knowledge regarding eating, drinking and places of interest to visit in the locality. She met us personally and having sent us detailed pictures of where we were to rendezvous, the check in could not have run smoother. The lake was but a short stroll away and the parking space she provided gratis was worth its weight in gold. We’ll be back, thank you Susanna.
