Peaceful, comfortable, tranquil and relaxing. Everything you need for a wonderful get-a-way. Kendra pays special attention to detail, and it shows! A little welcome gift for us and our pup to make us feel welcomed. A nice big bathroom with plush towels and not just one or two of them but a whole basket full, plus more in the closet if you need them! Luxurious shampoo and conditioner and soap, as you relax under the rain shower or use the jacuzzi. The kitchen was bright and airy and overlooking the peaceful yard. Complete with coffee, tea and all the amenities to make a great way to start out your day. The kitchen is stocked with everything you will need and more. The bedroom was totally relaxing, and the bed was oh so comfy. We especially loved the beautiful yard with shade trees and flowers. The mountain Laurel are beautiful. We were entertained by two plaited woodpeckers one morning. Kendra even dog sat for us one day, which was wonderful. We would come back her in a minute.

This is a lovely place, immaculately clean, looks brand new, and has everything you need. I recommend arriving before dark the first night if you can. You'll just want to be able to see the gravel driveway where you turn in and the incredible front yard the first night. You'll be totally fine if its dark, I just wish we had arrived before sunset. Its very safe, private, and beautiful. No complaints at all. I will seek to stay here again. I don't know if there will be fresh coffee beans and a grinder when you stay, but there was for us and we loved it. They have some great recommendations for restaurants and sites, and they are very friendly and responsive. I can't wait to go back.

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was exceptionally clean and very comfortable. Hosts were communicative and the cottage had everything we needed. Loved having the washer/dryer! It was a central location for visiting friends in Asheville as well as heading to trails on the Blue Ridge Parkway and Pisgah.

We absolutely loved staying at Kendra and Rob’s cottage. It is beautifully appointed and in a lovely, quiet setting. We were so busy exploring the area (fishing, hiking, etc) that we didn’t get around to trying out the huge jacuzzi tub or fire pit. Kendra and Bob were very responsive and provided several good suggestions for hikes (Pink Beds, our favorite) and restaurants (Vinnie’s South Asheville, 25 minutes away, was excellent for Italian food). We only heard their dogs bark once the whole three days we were there. As they and others have mentioned, the community road leading to the cottage is rough and would be difficult for low profile cars. We’re already planning our next visit back and have recommended this place to family and friends. Bob is a fishing guide with Davidson River Outfitters and provided suggestions on where to fish and what flies to use.

It was a lovely cottage in a beautiful setting. Very clean and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay there again!
