We came to Waxahachie, Texas to view the 2024 solar eclipse with our family and a few friends. I was hoping to use the backyard to watch the eclipse, however, the sky was covered with power lines - way more than I expected. Fortunately, there was an empty field right across the street from the house that we were able to use and all worked out very well. I highly recommend the place if you're not looking to image stars or look at a solar eclipse from the back yard. The one negative was it seemed pricey at the time - maybe due to the demand for places to view the solar eclipse.

The house has lots of potential but needs some TLC. The neighborhood is clean and quiet. The instructions to get into the property were missing (including the address itself). Host was nice, but did not solve a issue that kept the guests awake. The security system on the house has a low battery, but it is hardwired, so it cannot be fixed by simple battery replacement. This causes the system to continuously beep. All night and all day. Many missing smoke detectors throughout. Weathered carpet. The backyard had many weathered and broken things scattered about. On the positive side. Host provided enough paper towels and other helpful items. If given the opportunity to stay again, I would look around for another option first.

we did a last minute rental for the holiday and less than hour response. The house was roomy and clean. Kitchen large for holiday cooking with a open concept. we were able to talk and have good time while cooking. plenty of sleeping space for large family. House close to shopping center. really great for the amount.

For the most part, we enjoyed our stay here. There were some items that were very clearly not cleaned, but Jelani was very responsive and brought items to replace the soiled ones while we were there and provided a partial refund to try and make it right.

Clean and spacious home. I gave it a 3 based on the functionality of the kitchen and lack of nice towels in the bathrooms.
