We had a lovely stay at Jacqui's house, the biscuits on arrival were very much appreciated. The house is in a fantastic location next to the beach but with a lovely secluded garden. Waking up to the stunning views out to sea was a treat and the beds were all very comfy. The local area is peaceful and we enjoyed some lovely walks over towards Winchelsea along the canal path with an amazing variety of birdlife (including nesting herons). And we loved the tasty burgers at Half Man Half Burger in Hastings and the pizza at Tillingham. All in all a lovely week with even some sun to enjoy in the garden on the last couple of days!

Met plezier hebben we in dit huis een kleine week vakantie gehouden. Het uitzicht vanuit de slaapkamers op de zee en de weilanden is prachtig. Het is een rustige plek, zeker omdat de buren niet thuis bleken te zijn. De hele dag vogelgeluiden en allerlei vogels gezellig in en om het huis. Heerlijk geslapen en fijne sanitair gelegenheden. Keuken compleet en prettig om in te koken enzovoorts. Vanuit deze locatie kun je leuke dingen ondernemen, zoals even langs het strand wandelen, lopen van Rye en terug, Hastings bezoeken en in nabijgelegen dorp Pett zijn er leuke eet/koffie gelegenheden.

We had the best time - despite the weather. Walked the first day to Rye and took the bus back (regular service, takes dogs, almost to the door). Walked the second day to Hastings old town (very muddy after weeks of rain); bus back again. Loved the wood burner (rare to find one like this that works). Very homely, warm and comfortable for four of us plus dog. Lots around to see and do; great fish to buy and cook in Hastings. Would highly recommend.

Coastguards Cottage is in a beautiful location very near the beach. It is peaceful and quiet with fantastic views We would definately recommend it

We had a calm and enjoyable stay (family of 4, plus dog) in a cosy and comfortable cottage, which is really well located for access to the beach (just a 2-minute walk away), Rye, Winchelsea, Fairlight and Hastings. There are lots of pleasant walking routes in and around Pett Level too, with some helpful suggestions given in the Welcome pack on arrival. The house itself is clean and characterful, and the facilities are exactly as advertised. It’s a lovely and interesting part of the Sussex coast, especially if the weather is kind!
