The cabin is an amazing retreat. Very peaceful and private. Great views from inside and on the front porch to sit and enjoy a morning coffee and listen to the loons. We were up early every day to watch the sunrise and even on rainy days sat out and enjoyed the sound of the rain. Surrounding mountains provided great trails to hike and explore when it wasn't sunny enough to be on the lake but be prepared to encounter wildlife as you are in a very remote place. One of the nicest locations I have stayed at and has everything you would need to enjoy your time. Canoe and kayaks were a great bonus to explore the lake as well as a nice cozy fireplace to keep warm on those rainy days. Chris was a great host and kept us updated on the local wildfire situation as well as a mudslide that closed one of the roads. We will definitely be back again.

The cabin is in an amazing location right on the water where we could watch loons on the lake, eagles in the trees and deer walking across the lawn. Lovely calm lake for paddling. The cabin itself is beautiful and well maintained with plenty of space and a roomy deck where we could relax and eat meals. Everything we needed was provided. Good access for hiking and mountain biking (challenging trails) and close to Tyax lodge. A perfect retreat for our family time together.
