Beautiful house in a peaceful setting, perfect for a restful break with many sights, places to eat and facilities in easy reach, forest walks and a lovely pool at the house too (already missing morning visits to the Boulangerie just a mile from the house). Chris is a lovely, helpful and welcoming host - we really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend a stay here.

Our family of 4 had an enjoyable holiday in Chris’ home. It’s a comfortable house, with a great pool, Chris a responsive (whilst discrete) host. Fantastic lake with beach 25mins away and less than an hour to the beachside resorts of Mimizan and Contis Plage. The property is close to a road but it’s quiet and never felt over-looked; the style of house means low ceilings upstairs, but we learnt to duck at the right moments. Overall, it felt a bit different to other AirBnB’s we’ve rented as was more like experiencing living in someone’s home rather than booking a dedicated holiday house. We largely liked that - a welcome folder with relevant info on the house and local area might have helped and reduced our badgering Chris. A very happy holiday in a peaceful part of France.

We had a fantastic 2 weeks here, the house and pool were great, so peaceful and quiet but an easy drive to lots of attractions. The house was equipped with everything you could need. Chris was a great host, not at all intrusive and gave lots of recommendations on where to visit locally. Would definitely recommend this property and hopefully we will get back there again.

We had a fabulous stay with Chris who made us feel very welcome. There were 4 adults and 2 children for our holiday and the house was plenty big enough. The outside areas were great and we enjoyed many hours of peace, quiet and the pool. Chris gave us some great suggestions for trips out which gave us an opportunity to see the “real” France. Definitely recommend!
