Superbe maison avec très belle piscine et jardin. A proximité de la mer et tous les commerces tout en étant très paisible. La maison a 2 ailes avec les pièces de vie au centre ce qui permet de l'intimité à chacun. Pierre François est très réactif et de bon conseils. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir!

Séjour très agréable au sein de cette maison propre et fonctionnelle. La cuisine avec vue sur la piscine facilite grandement la surveillance des enfants. Piscine chauffée et sécurisée. (quelques couacs électroniques avec le volet mais propriétaire hyper réactif pour faire le nécessaire) Equipements pour bébé mis à disposition. Garage voiture et portant à vélos Plage calme à 5 min à pied. Le marché est présent tous les matins sur la place où il y a d'ailleurs 2 restaurants dont un très bon : les tilleuls. De nombreuses jolies balades en vélo à faire. On recommande vivement. La location en plus est parfaite.

I'd never heard of Ile de Re, we just went for the villa when choosing the holiday. However, what a charming little island, even if somewhat expensive! It took me a day or so to really fall under the charm of La Noue (the village where the villa is located) but from that time, I was smitten. Quiet, safe but with plenty of bars/restaurants to visit, a local market and a few shops and patisseries, there wasn't much lacking. There are beaches nearby, but they tend to be rocky, the better ones for swimming etc. are a car (or even better, a bike) ride away. Bikes are definitely the way to go on the island - there are many dedicated bike paths, and the island is as flat as a table. The larger towns on the island, St Martin, La Flotte, Ars de Re etc. are a must-see, very picturesque. The villa itself is large, clean and modern inside, with 4 bedrooms available, 2 bathrooms and a separate w.c. It has a well-appointed kitchen and a large living room. The Wi-Fi is unbelievably fast so there were no problems streaming on the TV on the rare occasion we did it. The garden is large, and the pool is a good size and depth too. 2 of the bedrooms, 1 bathroom, the living room and the kitchen open out onto the pool area. The only niggles we had were that the garden hadn't been maintained for a few weeks and the pool wasn't clean at the time of our arrival. There is a pool cleaner on-site for daily use and the pool guy is supposed to call weekly, but the pool clearly hadn't been cleaned for several days and its filtration system wasn't operating (and clearly hadn't operated for some time). We cleaned the pool daily and the filtration system was sorted after we reported it, but not until Tuesday evening. By the next morning, the pool water had cleared beautifully and we could really enjoy it as it should have been from the outset. These minor gripes aside, we thoroughly enjoyed the villa. The agents are easily contactable and were keen to help when we brought up the issue of the pool, but we felt that they should have noticed that the pool wasn't clean beforehand, not just react to our complaint. Other than that, they were proactive, contacting us a few days prior to our arrival, and check-in and check-out was very good. The owner was superb. He was easy to contact, super helpful and provided a wealth of useful information to help us enjoy the holiday to the fullest. And whilst we shouldn't expect French people to speak English, it did help tremendously that the agents spoke good English, because my French is rubbish. Though communication with the owner was via email, it was clear that he wasn't using translation services on the internet (you can always tell), his English was excellent, better than mine oftentimes!

A very nice property very conveniently located in a pretty town. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing family holiday.
