This was our second stay at Wolfe Lake and we were even happier than the first time! So beautiful and peaceful. The stillar cottage has wonderful privacy and is well appointed. The trails around the property are gorgeous and Julie and Bill are friendly and always quick to respond to and questions or requests. Highly recommend.
This place is a hidden gem without a doubt. First off, when you look up the place on the map it looks like it's in the middle of nowhere, but it was quite easy to find. Front porch and the picnic table were great for a bbq, private beach was beautiful, and the boathouse had everything you'd need for some fun in the lake. The lake itself is small but relatively clean. Not too many cottages nearby, and this unit (Stillar) is isolated from the neighboring units in the property so privacy is definitely not an issue. Our host Julie was always very helpful, responsive and accommodating. Some pillows and blankets were available but you definitely should bring your own bedding (which was already mentioned in the listing). Overall this trip was one of the highlights of the summer for me and I will definitely be back here again.
Complete Oasis. Words cannot describe how this property feels. Probably the best cottage rental in all of Nippissing. Sandy beaches, clear beautiful lake, waterfalls, rivers, trees, wildlife. Everything you could want. My family and I will certainly be making this our number one cottage stay. Thanks Bill!
This place is amazing! It has everything you need, especially with kids. Private beach that’s shallow (kids can go our far without the water getting too deep). Cabin is clean and large enough for families, big deck with bbq, fire pit, did I mention private beach? There is also access to a larger public beach with deeper water and a floating dock which is also great if you like to swim :) Owners are great and communicate well, if you have any questions they answer right away. There are also beautiful paths to take a quick hike on with access to a small waterfall with a picnic table to have lunch on. All in all it is a beautiful place and we made some great memories! Including a retro Airstream trailer, Front porch, Bohemian room, Victorian master bedroom along with rustic Carriage house Onthe9 Mono is the perfect spot for you to enjoy special energy and a wonderful time :-). In June 2019 we added Ketchum House to our listings . This is an eco-education center for sustainable, ethical living. Your stay includes a tour and time with Bill, our eco-warrior. This amazing home is currently unlisted but earth day tours are still available for booking any day! Added April 2020, Onthe9 Wolfe Bay is a 200 acre oasis with 1000 ft. of sand beach, rapids and a waterfall. We offer 5 cottages and three trailers for rent at what we call "Big Country". In 2021 a country church entered the Onthe9 family and this facility still operates as a church on Sunday and is available for events on other days. Onthe9 now hosts idyllic rustic weddings, corporate events and wellness retreats so consider our amazing destination for your special occasion!
