We had a lovely stay at Carmen's. Our room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. We were busy attending an event this time but we hope to return another time to spend more time enjoying the beautiful space!

I was not able to stay at the royal hotel due to Carmen cancelling our reservation the morning of the day we were meant to check in, claiming extensive renovations as the reasons. I made this booking in January for a late February stay. This is sketchy since she had to accept the reservation, it wasn’t automatically confirmed. Also, a week before our stay she tried to move us to a more expensive room and I declined the offer since I could not afford a more expensive room. I sent a message asking what was going on, and her reply was short and did not make any sense. Three days later she responds “yes it’s okay” without answering any of my questions, then canceled day of meaning I had to pay way more for the only hotels left with rooms that I can’t afford. Would never recommend this place as this experience was so sketchy.

great place to stay in Sydney downtown. it felt like a cozy familiar place (like Forrest Gump's house, or some other close to home inn). Carmen is a amazing person, trying to make you feel good.
