This house was so special. Lucky to have gotten to spend a night here. Could have spent all day just looking at all the interesting elements and decor. Lots of history here and it was a pleasure to spend some time within these walls. Slept like cozy babies as well. Robert was a great host!

I've always felt that people who try to compare airbnb's to hotels were fundamentally missing the point of what staying in an airbnb is. Places like this provide an experience that you'd never get in a hotel, or probably anywhere else. This location is an 1800s colonial... and it certainly shows its age! If you are expecting an old home that has been refinished with laminate floors and cheap ikea furniture, then don't stay here! This home feels authentically historic and it's character shows. The floors are creaky, the windows are a lil drafty - but you didn't come here expecting anything different. I appreciate that the owners are working to keep this house authentic and keep it alive - kudos! All things considered - the house was stocked well with kitchen gear (some more glasses in the kitchen would be nice), the house stayed warm (though some rooms get colder than others), the bed was comfortable, internet worked well, and checking in was a breeze.

We had a wonderful stay at Robert’s historic home. There was a fire in the kitchen wood stove when we arrived, which made the house warm and cozy on a rainy day. We had a fun time selecting our bedrooms, each of which is uniquely furnished with antiques, including couches, arm chairs, and a spectacular chaise lounge. The house is perfectly located between our first day touring the Kancamagus Highway and our second day visiting the Mount Washington Hotel. Robert is very friendly and responsive, and I recommend his home to other travelers through the White Mountains.

A lovely cozy stay in NH! Such a beautiful historic property near the White Mountains. We wanted to move in! Hard to pack up & leave. So nice to find a unique property like this that is pet-friendly! Robert was super hospitable, going above & beyond to make us feel welcome & at home. 10/10 Will be back again!
