Lovely place to stay. Simple set up but it worked for our group of 6. There were a couple of things we couldn’t get to work and Sharon said that she’d fix those. Would start again. Loved the Tongariro walks!

We are a family who have owned the Black box cottage when it was always the ugly duckling on the street. This cottage is our Homestead where many generations of our family have lived and grown up in. It has taken 5 years of family toil to get our home to its current state so that all our family may enjoy escaping for the weekend . We have now opened our home and hope that it serves the same purpose for any looking to unwind and take in the beautiful crisp mountain air of National Park.
