First time staying at a hostel. My trip was short but well spent in Melbourne Central which is just 10-15 walks away from the hostel. Sharing the room with others was fine. Bring a pair of slippers to go to the shared bathrooms so you’re not walking across the hallways barefoot. Only found one time the bathroom was smelly. But the rest of the time, it was clean and good enough to use. It does get a little tricky if you’re out partying late and others are already sleeping in but as long as you keep to yourself and respectful to others, it’s all good. Overall very nice experience for my first hostel stay.

this was my first time staying in a hostel & i felt very safe as a solo traveler being in the building & the surrounding area! beautiful view and such a perfect location. i’ll be returning if i need cheap accommodation for a week or two :) only things to note was the listing mentions the rooms have lockable cabinets, but you need to pay for a padlock ($10) and don’t mention to bring your own or that you will have this unexpected fee. I think they should disclose that more clearly to save money and bring your own from home if on a budget. the bathrooms and kitchen felt a little dirty at times to be in, definitely bring some shower shoes, but with how many people come through and are using the facilities, it’s surprisingly clean & comfortable!

Loved my stay! The only thing I have to comment on is the ladder in the bunk beds. It’s flush to the bed, so you couldn’t stand in the ladder while kneeling in the bed. Just made it very awkward to climb down, as I always thought I was going to fall off!! Apart from that, the toilets were clean, linen was great, room heating was perfect, lockers were a great size and having a wall light/two PowerPoints next to each bed was perfect! Location also meant it was easy to walk/catch the tram anywhere you needed to go

Has everything you need and is only a short walk to the CBD. An amazing place to stay if you don’t plan to be spending much time at your accommodation. Otherwise its exactly what you expect as a travellers hostel. Amazing rooftop views, massive kitchen and decent bathrooms. Short walk to the free city tram and shopping center. Most places are only a 10-20 minute walk.
