The apartments are well equipped : There you can find air conditioner, international programs cable-tv, a pc with 24 hours Internet connection (wi-fi internet), washing machine, iron and ironing table, microwave, refrigerator with a freezer compartment, microwave oven, a kitchen with complete cooking and eating equipment, coffe machines, toaster..... THE NEIGHBORHOOD Around Izola, a small old fisherment town, you can find good biking lanes following the old abandoned railway, connecting Izola to Koper, Strunjan and Portoroz and you can reach Italian and Croatian border by bike crossing the country side, some tunnels and some villages. IZOLA IS REALLY CENTRALLY PLACED...and if you would »catch a day of rain you can still sped a fantastic day, by car you can visit: 15 minutes far is Triest - once the main port of Austro Hungarian Imperium and European capital of coffee ( where you can still enjoy a worldwide best cup of Italian espresso) -with its fantastic 19 century architecture 30 minutes Lipica, the mother stable of the world famous unique lipizzaner white horses , and their in the spanish raiding school fantastic performances, the world famous Postojna and Skocjan caves. 45 minutes Pula with its Roman arena- amphiteater, or Aquileia , in the Roman times an important commercial port . 1 hour . The capital of Slovenia , Ljubljana with the characteristic architecture of our small Capital (250.000 people) 1.5 hours - VENEZIA . the unique world pearl the town on the seawater.... no cars just boats and gondole.... Bled the beautiful alpine lake with the small island with a church in between , The Soca valley the alpine emerald blue-green crystal clean waters river pearl with the white rock Alps around. SWIMMING AREAS and BEACHES in IZOLA The nearest beach Svetilnik is located approx. 200m (website hidden) a grass beach with a lot of shadow under large trees, completely renovated two years ago and not payable , has some facilitated accesses to seawater for disable people. The sea ground is a stone ground . as most of the east Adriatic beaches. Izola has as well a sand beach , but stone is preferred as the water is allays crystalline clear , even if many people in the water, what is not the case on sand beaches. Center Izola – near the lighthouse At the end of the Izola peninsula there is a nice city swimming area. There are showers, a sandbox and little trains for children. You can walk to the swimming area from the centre or drive from the direction of the shipyard. Simon’s Bay In the central part of the beach, the bottom of the sea has been covered with sand. Water toys rental is also possible. The swimming area is even more interesting because of the peer and the slide, next to which there are two beach volleyball courts. Between the swimming area and the nearby hotels there is also a fast food restaurant, a playground for children and a game room with pool tables and videogames. Delfinček In the close proximity of the Delfin Hotel and the Marina there is a small bathing area. If it is too hot, you can seek shadow in the restaurant on the beach or on the terrace of the Pergola restaurant. Bele Skale – White Rocks Those who do not like the crowd in Simon’s Bay, can take a walk towards Strunjan along the shore with shale sedimentary rocks. After one kilometer you will find the Bele Skale Bay, named after the white rocks, which can be found at the beginning of the Bay. For couples that like peace and quiet, this area is very popular. In some areas is visited mostly by nudist. Beach for Blind and Disabled People It is located near the Lighthouse. It is well organized and adapted for people with special needs.
