My love for the mountains is in my blood. In the 1930's, my grandfather was building Monarch Pass when he met my grandmother, who was working in a local store. The beauty of these Rocky Mountains was the perfect backdrop for their love to grow. They shared their love for these mountains with each new generation of family and friends. We wanted to continue that tradition. We purchased Mountain Lakes Lodge in 2019 with the goal of sharing our passion for what makes this place special and we hope others become swept up in the magic these mountains hold. My husband Adam & I have been together for 20 years. We have two gorgeous children Ziola & Zander, plus our dog Stitch & cat snowflake. My favorite things in life are family, friends, music, dancing, & delicious food & wine. Though I'm a native, my favorite place to travel thus far is still Colorado. I fell in love with New York city when I lived 20 minutes from Manhattan for 10 years in NJ. My husband was born in South Africa & has traveled quite a bit as a young boy. His parents back packed the world in the 70's. Eventually, we want to bring our children to many different world destinations. Traveling the world is something our family is inspiring to do when our kids get a little bit older. Favorite movies: Easy Rider, Reservoir Dogs, Star Wars saga, Lord of the Rings saga, Harry Potter saga, The Sound of Music, A Clockwork Orange, As Good as It Gets, & Casablanca! Books I like: To Kill a Mockingbird, The Great Gatsby, 1984, Romeo & Juliet, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Cooking is one of my huge passions & I'm pretty good. I love to pair food with a fabulous wine. Our hobbies include going to local festivals, hiking, camping, rafting, snowboarding, & exploring new places. As a guest, I'm extremely clean & respectful of other people's belongings. Therefore, I like a clean place to relax with all the amenities of my home. Honestly, I would treat your house as my own doing all the dishes, pulling the lines & leaving it just like when I walked in, while following any instructions the host might require.
