The other reviews are essentially accurate. We had a good time. In case you were wondering, the kayak is a single-person kayak. The lake views were incredible, our baby especially liked looking out the windows ("Water! Water! So much water!"). We were a full house, and were still comfortable and happy. It was sometimes hard to figure out how to turn on individual lamps. The heaters were individual room heaters, and the ones that had not been used in a while smelled strong and dusty when you turned them on. But we were going at an unusual time of year because of the solar eclipse.

Kevin and Anu's place was incredible! We had a family get together for my mother's birthday and had a blast! There were 8 of us and we had plenty of space. Kevin and Anu were very kind, responsive and generous. Their home was very well kept with easy check in instructions. We made good use of the location and took the kayaks and paddle board out. The fire pit was well maintained and had some wood for us to use. Highly recommend this location! Looking forward to returning next year!

Beautiful location right on the lake! Stayed here last year as well and decided to book this place again because it was the perfect size for our group and in a great location. Very close to some of our favorite wineries. Kitchen was well stocked which was perfect for when we stayed in and made dinner at the house and grilled. Great bon fire set up down by the water. Hosts were very responsive as well.

We had a wonderful stay at Ripley’s Roost. The views are amazing and the house itself is very nice. Even though there are quite a few stairs, they are sturdy and wide making it easy for our older parents to navigate. We were able to dock our boat for the week and used the outdoor waterfront space daily. Kevin was extremely responsive when we had some small maintenance issues. All in all, a fantastic family vacation!

My immediate and extended family enjoyed our stay at Ripley's Roost! Five adults and four kids stayed comfortably in the house and all enjoyed the waterfront. The outdoor living space was comfortable even in the rain. The kids and dads loved jumping off of the dock and swimming out to the floating dock. We enjoyed swimming, boating fishing and snorkeling! Kevin and Anu responded quickly each time we reached out and were very helpful. This was a wonderful place for our family vacation.
