Quiet and comfortable experience without the constant traffic of a hotel. Great for families that are used to being together throughout their excursions. Only 1 bathroom though, so you need to be willing to share and take turns.
This place was perfect for us. The ki g bed was amazing! Sleep better than my own bed. We really enjoyed our stay and when we come back we will hopefully stay here again.

The bed was very comfortable and our family of 5 had a great nights sleep. Very easy to get to creation museum and ark encounter.
Dave and Annie were extremely responsive. Super great details about the Cottage and what they expected. They made themselves completely available, but we never had to call them. We really enjoyed the River Cottage!

David and Annie have been happily married since 2012. Annie is an artist by trade and David is a safety specialist for a government agency. They met on a dating site and knew from the first date they'd be together forever. They live on 5 acres with their horse, dogs and cat not far from Petersburg. Annie fell in love with the small Kentucky town and in late 2017 bought the River Cottage on 2nd st. and then a year later, with a fellow artist in California, bought the Holly House. Annie has loved, and felt rewarded just knowing she is providing a clean and affordable home for families and friends to make beautiful memories.
