We had a wonderful stay in Surunda bay, thank you SO much! Matilda and the boys couldn’t have been more helpful, the position is perfect and we already miss being able to saunter five steps into the warm sea. We were so lucky to see dugong swimming past the house, and spent hours watching fish leaping from the water. Just a place to totally unwind and escape. Don’t worry if rain is forecast during your break, it is warm rain and a welcome relief at times from the heat - it soon clears. The house is SO quiet and peaceful, bed super comfy. Strongly advise that you hire a 4x4 Ute to tackle the Santo roads which are very rough in places. And take mozzie repellant - to discourage the less enjoyable wildlife! We loved Chez Louis in Port Olry for the freshest fish and seafood by a perfect beach (turquoise sea, golden sand yadda yadda) and Natangoya cafe in Luganville. Thank you again! 🥰

This place is just AMAZING!! It's all we could possibly desire from a tropical paradise and more. It is perfectly located in Santo, 15' by car from town, 5-10' from some of the best restaurants, less than 30' from the main blue holes, and approx. 45' from Port Olry and Champagne Beach. With all these nature wonders so close, we still wanted to stay at home to just relax on the hammock, enjoy the view from the private wooden deck, or explore Suranda Bay with the SUPs in search for dugongs and turtles (we've seen LOTS of them!). On top of that, we had the most incredible hosts we've ever met in our life. Matilda and Dennis were always so genuinely kind and helpful, they just wanted us to have our best holiday ever, and they made sure that we had it: they gave us a lot of tips to enjoy Santo, helped us solve a problem with our car, even took us on a snorkeling trip to a beautiful reef and arranged a delivery of delicious Vanuatu beef for our BBQ. We met as strangers, we parted as friends.

Matilda and Dennis were very responsive hosts who went out of their way to attend to every detail. The view from the property is to die for with fish putting on a regular display and the location being quite protected from the wind compared to other locations on Santo. The property was very comfortable with a variety of comfy chairs and a relaxing bed with quality linen. The outdoor kitchen was very well appointed for self catering and allowed us to enjoy the sunset whilst pouring another G&T and preparing local beef, market seafood and vegetables. Matilda and Dennis were great communicators and available next door to assist where needed whilst respecting privacy.

Dennis and Matilda’s bungalow was 10 out of 10. Highly recommend and would definitely come again. The location was amazing, very private and secluded, with our own private beach with options for snorkelling, paddle boarding and kayaking - all provided! Dennis and Matilda were great hosts - always went above and beyond. Great communication, gave us recommendations and shared their knowledge. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed and more! Definitely recommend this for anyone planning a getaway to Santo! You won’t regret it

Great communication, beautiful place to stay
