I stayed for 4 months here during my Erasmus. This was a spacious apartment within 10mins walking distance to the No.1 tram which takes you everywhere in the Hague. There is a Lidl supermarket 10 mins walk also. The area is calm and peaceful and made the 4 months very easy. Peter responded very quickly to any messages or queries and is a really lovely person in general. There are people upstairs and there is some noise through the flooring but I didn’t mind, it was never enough to really bother me. Overall, a great few months.

The most frequently mentioned issue in the review section is the lack of sound insulation, which made me think hard whether to send a booking request or not. My stay in Netherlands was work related so a good rest/sleep time was very important. Yes, you will hear some things louder from time to time, but I would like to point out that, in general, these 6 months I spent there were probably the quietest ever! Peter doesn't just accept the first booking request he gets. He always takes time to ask a few questions to a potential tennant. His goal is to determine if daily activities (work hours, study time, ...) of tennants from both bottom and upper floor will go well together. During my stay I had different neighbours upstairs and I can say that Peter did a good job in terms of what I previously wrote, but also that all neighbours respected the house rules. If I didn't get transfered to a different project I would have stayed much longer. I hope you will enjoy your stay like I did.

I had a wonderful stay in Rijswijk. Peter was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the space was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a pleasant and relaxing stay! Thanks for the support Peter.

I stayed in the ground floor of the barn for 3.5 months together with a friend of mine and most of the time also another friend of us lived in the beautiful upstairs room. It is a very cozy, unique and quiet place with a lot of space, a nice terrace surrounded by green and everything you need for daily life. If you want to get in contact with her, there's also a very friendly cat around. All of that made us feel at short-term-home quickly. Peter and Merel answered instantly when there was any question or problem, and check in/check out went very smoothly. The location is just outside Delft in a nice neighbourhood, and with a bike you are in town very quickly - it is a very nice way along the canal. Me and my 2 friends had the same daily rhythm (we are all Master students having just started at the TU Delft) and therefor we also spent a lot of time together (cooking, working, having a chat) in the downstairs apartment. That went very well and I think this that was the best possible use of the house for several people. So if you are a small group of friends or a family, booking the whole house will give you a throughly nice experience. I mention this because the only problem about the barn is that there is completely (!) no sound insulation between ground floor and upper floor. While it was the three of us living together, that was not much of a problem, but in the first 2 weeks as only one of my friends and me stayed downstairs there was another guest upstairs who had a very different daily rhythm than us and did a lot of phone calls (not to blame him for that, I guess he was equally affected by us having conversations etc downstairs). So if you book this place, you should be aware of this situation. Everything else was perfect, and I can highly recommend this stay for anyone who is in a similar constellation than we were.
