Bewerley · 袖珍小屋 · 1室1床1.0卫 · 可住2人 · Cosy, Curved Glamping Cabin
Fancy an adventure? Not quite a treehouse; more of a cosy, comfortable nest box. If you loved playing in the Wendy house as a kid then we think you’ll love this. The compact, cedar cabin is on a newly wooded hillside, with a babbling ghyll below. The cabin is surrounded by nature and in a great location for anyone who loves the hills, be it walking, running, cycling, bird watching or just to relax & unwind. Plus, you’re 3 minutes walk to restaurants and the independent shops of Pateley Bridge. This compact, glamping cabin sits alone in a wild, newly wooded field and is designed with windows that frame your views into your surroundings. Gradients and 7 steps are unavoidable to reach the cabin, so sturdy footwear is a must. Inside there’s a double bed, (proper bed linen), tucked into a beautiful alcove of curved plywood, a kitchenette equipped with microwave, toaster, fridge, (no hob but the microwave can grill food), and space for table and chairs. After a day of fresh air why not close the shutters and curl up with a good book and a decent drink. Alternatively outside you've a verandah and a terrace with a fire pit, (seasoned fire wood provided), plus toasting forks. You've your own underfloor heated wet-room/toilet about 40m away, near the house, in a Victorian outbuilding. Parking is also here plus secure bicycle storage facilities. You’re on the Coast to Coast cycle route, Way of the Roses and Nidderdale Way footpath, plus superb walks from your doorstep in all directions.
We loved our stay, it was such a beautiful, peaceful place. Sarah and Jonathan were really helpful and responsive. We would definitely stay again!
Beautiful and peaceful place in a great location. Loved the fire pit and even saw a deer just outside the cabin.
Very lovely and cosy cabin tucked away in a beautiful pocket! It was gorgeous and had everything we needed!
This is a perfectly formed little cabin. The kitchen had everything we needed, the bed was so comfortable and there were nice little touches like a small vase of flowers and bottle of ginger beer to welcome us. The shower/ toilet is separate but this was fine for us and it was very warm, and spotlessly clean. It was lovely to sit out at the fire pit on an evening and we even saw a young deer walk by. The host is lovely too. We would definitely visit again.
Bewerley and Pateley Bridge are located on the east of the Yorkshire Dales in the Nidderdale AONB, so we're surrounded by gorgeous, rugged moorland scenery and valleys with lots of little 'gems'. Favorites are Brimham rocks, and the Yorke's Folly walk. A cyclists dream if you like hills, (we’re on the Cote de Greenhow for Tour de Yorkshire 2018), and walking paradise too.
Pateley has a quirky little Playhouse, quality craft workshops and a proper herbalist. Also lovely walks along the river and reservoirs. Scenic drives (or rides for the keenest ones), of less than half an hour get you to Hackfall Woods, Brimham Rocks, Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal deer park, Scar House reservoir at the valley head, Coldstones Cut viewing platform on Greenhow, Hebden Ghyll, Trollers Ghyll and the spectacular climb up to Simons Seat. Alternatively, Harrogate and it’s Turkish Bath is very relaxing and approx half an hour by car away.
There's an hourly bus service to Harrogate, plus a weekly bus to Ripon! Pateley is approx. 35 mins by car from the A1. and Harrogate. Once you're here shops/pubs are only 3 minutes on foot.
Good walking routes are given at the Nidderdale AONB website, O.S. Map provided in the cabin.
