Margaux's Bird's Nest Bungalow is an extraordinary place to spend time. My wife and I were there for 10 days and we could've happily spent many more. It's a compact space, but it has everything you need. A comfortable bed, a well-stocked kitchen, beautiful interior, gorgeous views from the deck, and the best outdoor shower and soaking tub you can imagine. It takes only a few minutes to get into town and onto the long, beautiful beach, and it's the perfect location to explore the surrounding area--in particular, Pt. Reyes National Seashore is worth as much time as you can give it. Take Margaux's word about the steps down to the Bungalow: they're steep, and often irregular, but they have their own enchantment, surrounded by the trees and other flora that she tends so beautifully. It's impossible to say too much about the beauty and relaxation that the Bungalow provides, and I'll say it again: it's an extraordinary place.

Margaux’s bungalow definitely lived up to the expectations as it’s beyond beautiful! My wife and I had a lovely time and really enjoyed our stay in Stinson Beach. Only a 30 min drive to Mill Valley makes it ideal for staying somewhere remote with easy access to the amenities of larger cities. Ultimately though, you’ll want to stay here to relax and unwind with a bath, hike, and simply enjoying the view! Definitely worth every penny! As a side note, you are staying in a tree house essentially, so make sure to bring some bug spray. If you feel enticed to leave your window open, to listen to the ocean at night, like we did then be aware you will wake up with a bunch of mosquitoes bites. Overall though it was a beautiful stay with a gorgeous view!
The other reviews don’t lie, Margaux’s place is absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately I think we came at an off time and there was a bad ant problem while we were there rendering the kitchen unusable. We had been planning on having smaller meals/breakfast there and weren’t able to. There were ants in the bed etc. we were expecting bugs due to the location but it was a lot and made it feel less peaceful. The power also went out and was out the whole day our last day- this was not Margaux’s fault and just unfortunate as we were planning on being able to get some work done and didn’t have access to wifi. Margaux is very responsive, hoping this was just an off week but disappointed for sure!
I really enjoyed my stay the perfect place to come back to at the end of the day.
