Our stay at Jeff’s place was absolutely lovely. The cottage is build with a spectacular view over the landscape, and only a few kilometres away you’ll be surrounded by amazing cliffs and rocks, great for a day trip. Only thing to recognise would be that the place is not free of bugs and mosquitoes visiting occasionally. Though as the cottage is placed right in the middle of nature, it’s the normal add on :) However, Jeff’s a great and warmhearted host, making you feel right at home. Thanks!

A clean, comfortable stay in a quiet, relaxed environment. Good views across valley plain and mountains. The chalet is well equipped with all one needs for self catering.

What a magnificent place. Super neat and clean with spectacular views. I could produce endless appreciative adjectives for The Travelling Tortoise. 100% recommend this for a tranquil stay.

Everyone should go and stay at The Travelling Tortoise at some point! The location is great, the cabins are well equipped for everything you may need for self catering. The views are spectacular and the evening sunset not to be missed. The cabins have individual kokol hot tubs for each cabin and also use of a solar heated pool. We had an amazing time here and it’s totally doggo friendly. Although there are no fences around so if your dogs wander and don’t listen, probably best to keep them leashed. Jeff also has a camping option which was a great set up. The campers also have access to a pool and a great chill, braai spot by the pool.

Jeff's lodges are fantastic, well built and in a prime location with beautiful views. This is a wonderful rural retreat. Jeff himself was thoughtful and a good host. A great place to relax and be close to nature.
