Amazing place to stay, Fiona has a wonderful place in one of the most beautiful places in the Scotland Also we managed to photograph the Aurora from the shores of the loch, 20 seconds from the front door. Absolutely perfect Thank you
We had a wonderful stay at the Old School House. The house was very clean upon our arrival and we appreciated the tea, coffee and biscuits kindly left for us, especially after an 8-hour car journey! We had everything we needed during our stay and Fiona provided a great deal of information beforehand. The folder provided great recommendations for food and things to do. As for the local area: wow! The view of Loch Linnhe from the sofa in the living room is fantastic. The path alongside it offers a great walk either way you go. Highly recommend going left and crossing the road when you reach the Hollytree Hotel and going up the hill. Just watch out for cyclists coming down! The Co-op in Ballachulish (about 10 min drive) is very well stocked and had everything we needed. Our favourite place to eat was The Old Inn, Appin. It has such an incredible atmosphere and really outstanding food. Thanks Fiona for providing such a great property in an amazing area. We hope to visit again.
Perfect location on the cycle path and access to loch Linnhe. Beautiful sunsets from the lounge window. Nearby to so many walks and cycle routes. Host is communicative and friendly. Have stayed before and would stay again.
Wir hatten eine unvergessliche Woche in Fionas Haus. Auf das Wohnzimmer mit den Sofas und der tollen Aussicht haben wir uns nach jeder Wanderung gefreut. Auch die breiten Fensterbänke haben zum Sitzen, Schauen und Träumen eingeladen. Zwar hat die Fußbodenheizung im Bad nicht funktioniert, sie war aber auch nicht unbedingt nötig, da wir Glück mit dem Wetter hatten. Hätten wir etwas gesagt, hätte Fiona sicher sofort reagiert. Ansonsten hat das Haus alles, was man braucht. Auch die Lage ist sehr gut. Oban, Fort William und Glencoe sind gut erreichbar und man kann von dem Ferienhaus aus wirklich sehr viel unternehmen.

We live and work in Edinburgh but have always loved the Highlands.We have holidayed in most parts of Scotland but nowhere else can beat the Schoolhouse for the variety of scenery and activities on its doorstep-the Munro’s in Glencoe and Glen Nevis,wild swimming and cycling off road from almost the end of the garden,a scenic stroll to the local hotel for a beer on the deck…and of course the views from the lounge whatever the weather.When the sun shines there really is no better place to be!As we stay at the house on a regular basis we can make sure it is always clean and well equipped and can answer any questions about the area as we know it so well.This is our first foray into letting on Airbnb and we look forward to welcoming our new guests!
