A beautiful bolt hole for poets and dreamers. A perfect hideaway to relax and unwind. We were blessed with glorious sunshine during our stay, which enabled maximum use of the outside space. Breakfast, and supper al fresco. as we listened to the ever present chorus of crows, blue-tits and bumblebees. Roskillys farm was an absolute gastronomic delight with their homemade pizzas, burgers and lest we forget the divine ice-creams too. Durraside is perfectly placed to enjoy many of South Cornwall's beaches and towns alike. Just be prepared for the very slim, bendy lanes to get there. Drive safe & slow, you'll be fine. Other recommendations would be The Blue Anchor in Helston for a pint of Spingo and great banter with the locals. Kynance Cove for its sheer beauty, Sabzi cafe in Falmouth has wonderful food, and gorgeous sweet treats complete with friendly owner. Oh, and did we mention Roskilly's? So yes...come stay a while and enjoy a slice of proper Cornwall. Thank you Katie.
Katie is a fantastic host, very informative. She was very proactive and helpful she immediately got in touch with us when we asked her something. The home is beautiful Katie makes the place very homely and comfortable. She left us flowers and some welcome gifts when we arrived. Stunning location, clean, tidy, welcoming. Great place, very quiet, nice views, very good beds and Katie was very helpfull when we had questions.
Durraside is a perfect spot to get away from it all. The house is well equipped and comfortable, with stunning views from the balcony. You can walk the coastal path, paddle board at high tide on Gillan creek, go fishing or cycle around if you like hills! The rest of the Lizard is easily accessible by car and the Minack theatre is definitely worth a trip….. remember to take your waterproofs in case it rains during the performance! Katie is a great host and the cream tea and prosecco welcome a really nice touch.
