We had a wonderful weekend at Sheldon Manor, with Ginny and Lisa being very accommodating and responsive. The house is beautiful and spacious and set up well for big group celebrations. We had a lovely home cooked dinner from Lisa and her team, which we would recommend for anyone else interested in staying here.

We had a wonderful family weekend to celebrate two birthdays. This very special property easily accommodated 10 adults, 3 children and a baby. There was so much space for the children to play indoors and out that no one missed the TV. All of the unique bedrooms had comfortable beds and lovely bed linen - we all slept brilliantly. Each one was close enough for good access to bathrooms or showers. Downstairs, the living room proved a relaxed and comfy place to spend time, with plenty of room for the children to play games, puzzles, draw etc. The focal point of a massive fireplace gave the actual (or wannabee) scouts among us the challenge of lighting a huge fire and keeping it going from the loads of logs available. The kitchens and breakfast room were well equipped and gave us lots of room to prepare meals and eat all together, with two dishwashers to assist. It was a real treat to have one of Lisa's delicious suppers brought in to order on arrival day, timed to suit us. Just perfect!

A magical house, steeped in history. The perfect balance between medieval grandeur and homely comfort. The spectacular property in its own immaculate grounds is brilliantly accessible, close enough to the major road network to make travel easy, yet rural enough to give privacy and peace. Only a 3 minute drive from the convenience of Chippenham's supermarkets, life at Sheldon is easy. It was made even easier by being greeted and helped in person, with assistance and advice just a text message away all weekend. Absolutely superb.

the perfect place for my hen do! the photos do not do it justice - the Manor is huge, grand and stunning, with everything you could possibly need for a long weekend or a big party. we loved it!
