Beautiful setting and beautiful property! Lovely place to stay. Based on previous reviews we weren't sure how well equipped the kitchen etc was going to be, but the hosts seem to have taken the feedback onboard, as there were plenty of dishes, cutlery and dishwashing tablets!

The Barn is a spacious open space, and provides a quiet place to get away from it all. It's in a perfect location to visit the surrounding areas of such as Bath, Bristol and Cheddar Gorge, the place has ample parking so it's one less thing to worry about. However, there was a lack of the basics such as dishwasher tablets, washing up sponge, oven gloves, firelighters for the wood fire etc. which made the stay feel less than homely, which would have been expected for a place like this.

Firstly the barn is a lovely, peaceful & safe place to stay. For the type of trip we wanted (Preferring to be in for the evenings & catch up as a family) - it was perfect. For those that would prefer to be out and about boozing in the evenings - perhaps pick elsewhere. The kitchen was lovely with plenty of basic wine glasses & crockery. The quality of the oven and fridge was excellent. Noting some of the other comments I feel it only fair to say the knives were a little tired. For a short stay there was enough to get us up and running but for a longer trip you may wish to bring: seasoning & oil, kitchen roll, sponges & dishwasher tablets - standard stuff. The heating worked great and the cleanliness was good. A final consideration is noise transfer. The twin room is downstairs with only a sliding barn door between it & the living room & from the kitchen it’s open to the room through a hole in the wall - but that’s a barn conversion for you.
