Perfect stay at a beautiful hideaway in Catania. We felt totally welcome and had a pleasant stay in this little paradise garden. Totally recommend!

Marcello's place was better than expected! We are certified cat lovers and there were around 4 cats roaming the area. They eat outside your door, so you are guaranteed to see them. Our particular favorite was Metoo a blind cat who loves to be pet, especially belly rubs. The area is a beautiful garden which leads down to a private seaside area. You can't hear the cars from the road which is perfect if you want to relax in a small cottage in nature, but still want to remain somewhat close to the city. There is a good pizza restaurant 20m away if you need some dinner, however if you need groceries the closest supermarket is a 2.5 km walk. We didn't really mind as we got our daily walk in. Definitely recommend just getting a taxi from the airport (€60). There is a train station nearby which goes much faster into the city center than a bus. We didn't like arriving back after dark though, as there were no other people leaving/arriving this stop and lacks lighting so it felt a bit sketchy.
