The nearest supermarkets are ICA in Horred about 15 minutes or Hemköp in Veddige about 15 minutes away. Supermarket in Varberg at the supermarket Hajen or ICA Kvantum about 30 minutes away.
Nabbaklinten in Fävren is our nearest place for taking a swim. There are rocks to dive from and a smaller pebble beach (bathing shoes may be good for the smaller children).
Kärradal (north of Varberg) about 20 minutes away. Wonderful and long and child-friendly sandy beach. Kiosk, restaurant, mini golf etc.
Espevik is right next door and is another well-known sandy beach.

When you have rested, it can be fun with some different excursions and activities in the area. You are sure to find plenty of gems around the corner!
We live on the border between Halland and Marks municipality.
In Kinna and Skene you will find a lot of connection to the area's "Knalleland" Tygriket with all its spinning mills and weaving mills from the past. This is where you make your fabric finds. You will also find lots of other things in the municipality of Marks!
Locally in Veddige which is about 15 minutes away you will find:
Viskadalens Gårdsglass where you can buy the farm's milk and homemade ice cream.
Farm shops: Ekekullens Fårfarm in Veddige where you can buy sheep meat, souvenirs, slippers and your own honey.

Kullagårdens bakery and cafe, lunch restaurant. Sit outside or inside in cosy dining room which is a converted barn. Buy your stone oven baked bread, gluten free link given when booking.

Strömmared Östergården, farm shop, cafe, mustery, organic apple farm, room & breakfast.

Fishing: In our lake Fävren it is popular to fish. You can also rent a little boat if you want. Don't forget to buy a fishing licence.
Sea fishing: In Varberg there are several boat fishing trips daily

Shopping: our dear and well-known GEKÅS in ULLARED is about 20 minutes away. Drive on the small roads past Karl-Gustav, use GPS. Definitely worth a visit.
Several hiking and biking trails for everyone, different lengths and levels of difficulty. Starts from Kungsäter, on the other side of the lake.
Visit the world's oldest textile family business 17 generations since the 16th century. Ekelund Linneväveriet in Horred. Supplies to the Royal House.
