I had a wonderful experience staying with Carolyn and Bobby while visiting Village Creek State Park in Lumberton. They have a beautiful house and property surrounded by nature. If you need a comfortable, peaceful, and quiet place to escape to for R&R during your visit to the area. I highly recommend staying with Carolyn in either the Overlook or Loft. Both will suit your needs depending on whether you want more privacy or space to stretch out during your visit. Carolyn is an awesome host the sweetest person, always eager to chat and help if you have any questions about your stay or the area. I enjoyed my conversations with her husband and glad I was able to meet them both. I was gone most days but was up early enough to always catch a fresh cup of coffee made in the wee hours by her husband Bobby. Most evenings I came in late but always had a chance to catch up with Carolyn and her husband on the day’s activities. Next time I hope to enjoy their back property more with a warm fire.

I enjoyed a very peaceful getaway on Village Creek. While Carolyn and Bobby were finishing their supper with their mother at a separate location, I chose to eat mine outside on the back porch. Wonderful breeze and beautiful setting right on the creek. Will save this for a later date instead of a hotel. I'm glad I went with Airbnb this trip and not Hotwire, etc. Better everything for the same price or under.
