Had another amazing trip! Sharon is the absolute best and so is her place! It’s so private and peaceful. Love the sound of the creeks. Hiking right outside your door. I love feeding and watching the birds. Woodpeckers, blue jays, tuffed tit mouse just to name a few! We always bring bird seed and peanuts and I swear they know us. We’ve been coming for many years. And the time before this trip Costco didn’t have peanuts and they sure let us know about it! Lol. Can’t wait to come back! Thanks Sharon!!

My kids love camping; hubs and I love glamping - and Sharon’s place fit both worlds! The backyard was amazing with the fire pit and fun creek exploration. The place was clean, well stocked with supplies and plenty of space for the 4 of us. The area itself felt a little…rough… and a guy on an ATV was constantly patrolling by. However, a quick car ride away and we found spectacular hot springs, great hiking, and quaint shopping in Kernsville. All around a great spring break!

The house has a small town charm, needs a little TLC. The living room is set up super cute but the couches are uncomfortable. Overall the place is quite comfortable it stayed warm inside, and the outdoor sitting area on the deck is breathtaking. Hiking, biking and fishing are must do’s in this town! Everything was super clean when we arrived. All the amenities listed are in fact provided. (except red bucket for putting out outside fire pit) We ran out of coffee during our stay but no biggie! We last minute decided to bring our elderly dog, which was well received and allowed. Thank you for having us Mandi, Matt and Jay Stone

We enjoyed our stay here at Shirley creek. There’s so many things to explore in the area. We did the trail and it was a pretty view going up. We also saw lots of animals during our stay, fortunately no dangerous animal encounter. The stars were so bright and beautiful at night. In the morning there’s some bird food you can put out in the backyard. It has pretty much everything you would need. If you’re a bit of a clean freak like me, you might want to bring your own stuff to cook and eat with. We felt pretty safe and it was a quiet neighborhood. We definitely did make use of the indoor fireplace. The place was clean when we got there, the only thing that sort of bothered us was some hair on the bedsheets, but with the washer and dryer being accessible it was an easy fix. We even extended our stay! Would love to be back again soon!
