If you are looking for a remote retreat and some isolation with friends or family, this property is ideal. It is located at the top of a mountain which is a 35min drive from the town below - the roads are treacherous and not for the feint hearted (think Monaco on the side of a cliff!) - if you are looking for a property where you can easily access the lake or travel around, this is not the place for you. Once you arrive at the property, you really do feel like the only people on the mountain. The home is spacious, well appointed and well decorated. It is quirky, creative and interesting. Lots and lots of space and the walls are well insulated. We were a nice temperature at all times and the open plan orientation makes it wonderfully sociable for a family or group. It has a relaxing feeling about it and even some wonderful mountain goats! In order to access the property, you do have to drive off-road for a short moment. Be careful doing this with a hire car - we lost a tyre in the process and then couldn't get a replacement car for the rest of the trip which made travelling really difficult because of the isolated nature of the property. There is no cell service in the home (there is WiFi), so making calls is almost impossible. We do feel this should have been mentioned in the listing as we were travelling for work and as such, were placed at a huge disadvantage. For those who want to escape from the world, it is perfect.
