Kán is a minor municipality in the middle of nothing, a real boondocks. However, if you can get there (check your car's capabilities beforehand), its secluded character makes it a perfect place for recreation and retreat (even for small groups). We slept in a yurt for the first time and although we'd had some doubts, after all, it was a mind-blowing experience just in the middle of a herd of belling red deers. On the other hand, our stay wouldn't have been such a great pleasure without our kind and helpful hosts. Going beyond the basics, they are also fantastic conversational partners (with lots of life stories from all around the world) and their cute little son was an amazing playmate for our little boy, too. On top of that, if you have luck, you may get a chance to listen to some exceptional, relaxing live sitar music.

to be at a place like Sanneke and Dougals is more than vacation, it is a whole new universe back to the stars and nature. Sanneke and Dougal and Manu were the most wonderful hosts we can imagine, polite and friendly at any occasion, helpful and attentive with whatever desire we asked to be met and respectful and discrete if it was about privacy and a little quietness. I will always remember your place, Sanneke and Dougal, as one of the most treasurables on Earth. Thank You and see you again soon!

Wir haben hier friedliche und schöne Tage in der Jurte erlebt. Ein kleines Paradies für alle, die Urlaub auf die etwas andere Art machen möchten. Sanneke und Dougal waren super freundlich und hilfsbereit und stets zu einem regen Gedankenaustausch bereit. Der Weg zur Unterkunft ist machbar und die Umgebung gut zu erkunden. Proviant für die ersten Tage sollte man dabei haben. Vielen Dank für einen unvergesslichen Urlaub!

Relaxation at the highest level! I had the great fortune to be a guest of Sanneke and Dougal in the time from 02. to 05.09. and can only say, it was an all-round pleasant and relaxing stay. Thank you both for your great hospitality.

Wonderful place, very nice people. Sanneke is really a very warm person who is quick with giving advice and tips. Ready to help, and at the same time respectful towards our privacy. We only saw Dougal for 2 short moments, but he also seems like a very nice person. Would highly recommend this place. Don't forget to bring grocerys with you! The road to civilization is a bit of a challenge. Doable, for sure, but it takes some time.
