Es war sehr schwierig, die Adresse der Wohnung zu finden, der Taxifahrer musste bei Erhalt der Adresse anrufen und nachfragen, die Hausnummer wurde nicht angegeben; Im Haus gibt es eine Katze und einen großen Hund, darauf sollten die Gäste vorbereitet sein. Das nächste Café ist etwa anderthalb Kilometer vom Haus entfernt. Die Tür im Durchgangsbad mit WC verfügt über kein Schloss.

Extraordinary! Karina is an absolute gem of a human being. If that alone is not enough, her place is beautiful, clean, airy, comfortable, safe, walking distance to restaurants, supermarkets, cafes, modern outdoor mall. And close to breathtaking hikes, and other outdoor activities. The area is fantastic. Karina is approachable and easy going. Always ready to help make your stay a truly memorable one. Santa Ana is a safe, fun, young neighborhood, with nice activities to do and close to the airport. I felt at home!

If you want the feel of being in the real Costa Rica this is a good place to start. Not for the tourist who just wants to see the highlights of the country. At Casa Rio Oro you get a great room and super helpful hostess and if you are lucky the cats will like you. Be advised that there is a peacock in the area who does like to talk at times. The traffic on the main street can by heavy at times but Costa Ricans (Ticos) will often stop to let you cross the street wherever you are. Just don't step in front of a bus they are on a schedule.
