We really enjoyed our stay in Claudia's apartment. For our family of 5, was just perfect, with our 3 children each enjoying their own space. The apartment is easily reachable by train, and then is a 5 minutes walk (I recommend taking the lift from the train station). If you are coming by car, the apartment can provide a parking space in its own garage, which is very convenient. The apartment is in a very quiet part of Riomaggiore, very close to the beginning of the trek to Manarola, and also comes with basic kitchen supplies, witch is a bonus, especially if you arrive late at night and it's too late for shopping. Claudia and Davide were great hosts, very helpful and always responsive. The terrace is great too, with a view of the sea and enough space for breakfast and dining. Strongly recommended. Cozy, simple apartment perfect for our family of 5 adults! Exactly as described, clean and comfortable. Claudia was extremely helpful and responsive. WARNING: 10 minute walk from train station/town is straight up steep hill/mountain, with a lot of stairs involved. There are limited ways up from town/train stations, and no food/restaurants at the top, so may not be the best location for those without energy, good legs and/or a car!

Yes, you do have to walk straight up for 10 minutes if the elevator isn’t working; but my parents in their 70s did it with packs on their backs, so you can too. The view is sensational. The stay is very comfortable, and Claudia is very communicative.
