The acommodation is very clean and very well prepared. Mairi went the extra length to provide tips on getting amenities, the best haunts and views. The cottage is a very short ride away from Quiraing, The Storr and Duntulm viewpoint - where we saw sunset over the horizon. Thanks to Mairi, we were lucky to see the aurora! Come sunrise, you can easily catch the sunrise down at the beach, right in the backyard a very short walk from our front door. Definitely one of the best places to stay in Skye. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at Gairloch View.

Her house was so great - well stocked, comfortable, and clean. And it was in the absolute perfect location to see all the major attractions of isle of skye. Beautiful property by the ocean with chickens, sheep, and dogs. And Mairi was super helpful and came and checked in on us to make sure all was ok. Highly recommend.

Wonderful holiday cottage in a beautiful location! It’s a bit remote but for guests looking for a quiet, well-equipped accommodation with stunning views (the sunrises were jaw-dropping), we could not recommend this place more! The host Mairi was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and communicative and came to ensure we had no issues after we checked in. She had stocked the kitchen with breakfast provisions which came in handy! We were also able to use the washer to do laundry after days of wet, muddy hiking on Skye. It’s quite close to a grocery store in Staffin and also to Old Man of Storr and Quirang. A great experience!

The cottage is very pretty and comfy with everything you may need, including a garden with a fine view over the sea.It is perfectly located in the Trotternish peninsula a few minutes drive form astonishing locations and beautiful walks. On top of this Mairi is a perfect host: she made us feel cared and welcomed. We even found basic groceries at the cottage at our arrival, including milk and cereals for breakfast. More than recommended!
