Lydia’s place is an incredibly tranquil location. The house has plenty of utensils and pots and pans. The dishwasher and washing machine are also very useful. It has a beautiful, good sized swimming pool, which is really well looked after. The house has plenty of room both inside and out, which allows privacy. The family dog is friendly and quiet. Lydia and Marc are wonderful hosts, giving just the right amount of support for you to get the most from your stay. Without ever intruding. We travelled to Bordeaux on the TGV from Angoulême, which took around 30-40 minutes. The Cite du Vin is highly recommended for a visit! Those travelling from the UK are recommended to book this via the Trainline app in advance, to secure the best fares. We had a fabulously relaxing holiday. Thank you to Lydia and Marc

Si on devait trouver un mot pour cette semaine : exceptionnelle ! Merci à Lydia et Marc de nous avoir accueilli dans ce véritable havre de paix. Pour ce qui est des activités, il y a de nombreux lieux à découvrir… faite confiance à vos hôtes, ils connaissent bien les environs. Comment on met une 6e étoile ? 🧐😁

Lydia's house is wonderful. Very well equipped with everything you need. It's very well maintained balancing the old with the new so well. Lydia and her family were so welcoming and accommodating offering help and recommendations graciously. If you want somewhere to relax, enjoy views and be close the nature - this is the place for you. Yet the local town is easily reachable in 10 minutes!

Un très beau gite dans un cadre idyllique ! Intérieur agréable et fonctionnel, chambres fraîches appréciables en été, nombreux jeux, équipement complet. Grand jardin avec piscine chauffée, nous nous sommes baignés tous les jours, un régal surtout avec la superbe vue ! Marc et Lydia ont été très réactifs, accueillants, discrets, ils sont d’une grande gentillesse, ce fut très sympathique de faire leur connaissance ! Le lieu est paisible et vert. Le petit village de Villebois-Lavallette tout proche est très joli et on y a trouvé tout ce dont on avait besoin. De belles visites à faire plus ou moins loin selon les envies (jolis villages, châteaux, églises…) ainsi que diverses activités sportives (accrobranche, canoë…) Nous avons passé 2 semaines ressourçantes avec nos 2 filles ados, nous recommanderions le gîte de Marc et Lydia sans hésiter !

Net terug thuis van een geweldige reis! We huurden de Airbnb met 4 volwassen, onze baby van 10 maanden en onze hond. Lydia, de gastvrouw was erg vriendelijk tijdens het contact vooraf. Zo gaf ons de bezienswaardigheden in de buurt mee. Bij de aankomst werden we vriendelijk ontvangen met een woordje uitleg over alles in het huisje en het zwembad. Al het nodige was aanwezig in het huisje (zelfs een babybedje en eetstoeltje.) Het huis zelf ligt zalig gelegen: rustig in het groen. Het zwembad was magnifique, wat een formidabel uitzicht! Ook werd het meermaals schoongemaakt tijdens ons verblijf, wat telkens een aangename verrassing was bij de terugkomst in het huisje. Verder waren de kamers in orde, de badkamer netjes en de leefruimte gezellig. kortom, een echte aanrader voor een leuke vakantie. We voelden er ons erg welkom!
