Wir haben fünf Tage im Haus von Andreas verbracht und hätten gerne den Aufenthalt verlängert, wenn wir mehr Urlaub gehabt hätten. Der Ort ist fantastisch. Die Beschreibung von Andreas auf der Website ist absolut zutreffend. Der Blick ist einfach traumhaft, man ist für sich allein und hat trotzdem das Gefühl nicht isoliert, sondern sehr nah am Geschehen in Poros zu sein. Andreas ist ein hervorragender Gastgeber, freundlich und zurückhaltend, aber immer gleich da, wenn wir eine Frage gehabt haben. Man braucht auf jeden Fall ein Auto, dann ist der Aufenthalt ein Genuss.

This was a super place to stay. The views from the house are stunning and the hilltop location means there is a cooling breeze in hot weather. Andreas was an excellent host; helpful, kind and on-hand if we needed advice. Galatas itself has a good array of local shops and it is straightforward to travel to Poros. Nafplion and the famous archaeological sites are within driving distance for a day trip, and you can also go to other local ports to catch a boat to Hydra or Spetses.

This is an absolutely beautiful spot, on top of a hill, with 180 degree views of the ocean and Poros. We were a family of 4 with two young kids, and what made it absolutely brilliant was not only the location, but the house and garden itself. With 5-6 different seating areas under a shaded veranda around the house the kids could be outside all day, and we were able to pick up the breeze whatever direction it blew. The house was kitted out with all essentials - from toilet paper to washing up liquid, water, bathroom essentials, bin bags etc and it really meant for a relaxing stay. Andreas was a brilliant host who was on WhatsApp for any queries we had. He recommended traditional tavernas, horse riding, gave us info on the boat taxis to poros etc. The house had lots of stuff for Kids - beach toys, a baby swing (plus the beautiful swing in the garden) and the kitchen was fully kitted out. The ice machine was a blessing in the heat. You will definitely need a car. There are lots of places to explore and despite being there 9 days we still have more to explore… so we will be back!!! This is probably the best location we have ever stayed at. The view over to Poros is truly spectacular and one that lives long in the memory. The house is spacious and comfortable and has everything you need. The outside veranda is enormous with places to keep out of any wind direction (not that this was a problem for us). Andreas was a great host and explained everything fully when we arrived. The track up to the house is quite steep and bumpy but we didn't have a problem with our hired fiat tipo. However you do need a car to get in and out of Galatas. Frequent water taxis ferry you back and forth to Poros for one euro each way from where you can get boats to the other islands. Altogether a great place to stay. Highly recommended.

The description is more than accurate, it is breathtaking. We felt very lucky to have found Andreas’s place. The only setback was the road up to his house. A hurricane had done great damage to it and we had some problems and some of us had major anxiety attacks driving up and down, especially at night. Andreas said it would be fixed asap. Our problem was also that we were driving a 9-seater van,not the best under the circumstances.... We would love to go back.
