This quiet, rural home in the woods is an excellent retreat from technology and other distractions. There is no TV and limited to no Wifi or cell phone reception at our house. You are welcome to use our landline to make or receive phone calls within the continental U.S. There is a mini-library including classic books and games you may use during your stay. There are also beautiful hiking trails within a relatively short walk or drive. The home is tucked into a hillside of woods near a year-round creek. It is generally very quiet, especially at night. It is only a 5-10 minute drive from McMinnville. This includes one mile of county-maintained gravel road. A sloped dirt drive and a full flight of stairs must be climbed to access your room. We can only accommodate parking for one vehicle. McMinnville is mid-way between the Pacific Ocean and the Cascade Mountains. McMinnville is also home of the Spruce Goose at the Evergreen Aviation Museum and has a classic down-town with exceptional shops and restaurants. Other "attractions" in the area are wineries, monasteries (one makes chocolate), and various annual events in McMinnville and surrounding towns.
