After over 30 years travelling for work this was my worse experience first the host informed me she had double booked my room and she would have to put me in another room even thought i paid for the one advertised tried twice to gain access to stay and twice no one was available at the property ,the host never answered my calls and took so long to return my calls property is very rundown from the outside road was like a dirty track unable to reveiw about inside as never managed to see inside so had to rebook somewhere else on short notice total traumatic experience but host still refused to refund in my experience no customer service would never use this host services again.

This spot was the perfect place for me to stay while I did my freediving course. Cherise and her sister made me feel at home. The location was itself was clean and I felt safe. It's close to all the good spots in Portland like the Blue Lagoon, Boston Jerk Center, and others. The only con which is outside of Cherise's control is the condition of the roads. They are currently being expanded and the roads are very rough and dusty. If you're looking for a place near the natural attractions along the Portland coast, I highly recommend the Jamaican Gypsy.

Cherise was wonderful, helpful and super accomodating! I had one of my best Airbnb stays here and would definitely stay again.

I would really love to give this property a higher rating because Cherise and her family are very lovely people. They all were an absolute pleasure to interact with. The studio however has a lot to be desired. Most of the things were completely out of Cherise’s control. Be prepared to deal with really bad road conditions, both walking and driving. They’re doing construction and it makes it difficult to get around by taxis when you’re traveling into town (Port Antonio) and coming back. A lot of the drivers are doing shorter distances because they don’t want to deal with the roads in Fairy Hill. Also the water in the studio may be cutoff without notice of course because of aforementioned road work. That can be difficult when you’re trying to start your day and you can’t shower. The electricity went out because of the road work as well. Wi-Fi goes in and out, fortunately I had a local number/phone otherwise I couldn’t imagine what my rates would be for my actual phone seeing as though I was going to stay here for a month. These may be things you can manage for a short stay. It wasn’t ideal for me because of my length of occupancy.
