The place is fine, but that’s it. I definitely wouldn’t stay here again, this place was a second choice. The ‘smart’ lights would come on at 3am every day on their own, even though she pulled one of the receivers. Teresa in my opinion is EVERY controlling. From her eight pages of home rules to wanting to know when I’d arrive and depart. I had requested a 4-4:30pm a couple of days prior to my arrival, as opposed to 6pm check-in and since I was making a 7hr drive, but that was a no go. I was afraid to touch anything in the house with all of the rules she has. I also didn’t appreciate the fact that I was in a dark alley, and was literally getting out of my car getting my dogs out when an older gentleman approached me. Mind you I am a female traveling by myself. So to have a stranger walk up on me in a darkening alley saying “you at the right house” I was taken aback like who the heck is this guy. And there was a very short exchange as I walked off to one get out of the alley and two to stretch my dogs legs. She had sent her Dad to see who was checking in. On top of that there is a lockbox on the door with a key in it and she wanted you to leave it in there “just incase” you lock yourself out..How about NO I don’t need some randoms accessing the place while I’m there. The front door was unlocked when I arrived, and the door knob doesn’t work right. So pay attention when you lock it and verify that it is INDEED locked. The last house I stayed at two weeks ago the host lived literally next door and I had more privacy there than I did at this place. If there was one word I’d give to future tenants, it would be RUN!

The place is fine, but that’s it. We wouldn’t stay here again. It didn’t feel freshly cleaned and there’s nothing ‘smart’ about the home - very ordinary for 2020. It’s VERY run down from the outside, and the couch was not only uncomfortable but it was dirty. Like we re-washed every dish we used. We found food (cracker jacks?) in the crack of the couch. Huge dusty cobwebs- nothing that was made overnight. The creamers in the fridge for coffee curdled in our coffee- like huge white chunks. Teresa was very communicative- but she clearly didn’t read our responses and asked us the same questions we already answered. On top of that - she requested a lot from her guests as far as cleaning and check out to do list items and badgered us for a five star review. Alley parking was sketchy, and the train noise was annoying. Did not feel worth the money.

Teresa is an excellent host. Unfortunately, the property itself is difficult to stay in. The train is only 1/2 a block away and comes by at least hourly all night long, tooting its whistle throughout the night. Unless you sleep like a rock, you will not be testing well here.

Adorable and Beautiful lodge-like home in a city area. The host shows a lot of hospitality and direction to the visitors, and is clear on everything. The house is clean, well put together and has all you need including BREAKFAST!😇 The house has all the coffee you would ever need as well as sugar, creamer, half and half and more. It is in a busy town area with cars and it’s right next to a train station. You have to enter and park in an alleyway but it’s safe.

We would love to host you! *****Some quick things to Note: ***** Our prices are setup for one person occupancy as the majority of our guests are single occupants. On Nightly Stays ************** We charge $20-30 more per additional occupant to cover the additional cleaning, linens & towels plus the cost of breakfast (Waffles & Pancakes are in the freezer), Syrup, creamer, sugar, tea & coffee (both regular and decaf) PLUS the additional toiletries & supplies. Please be sure to book for the exact number of occupants that will be in the home. On Long Term Stays: ****************** We charge $10 more per additional occupant to cover the additional linens & towels. Breakfast is typically not provided but your first night of coffee is. Please understand that we are not a Hotel and do not have a horde of staff. I am the one that does all the hosting PLUS all the cleaning and prep work (on top of my day job) so in order to continue providing this service and accepting pets and one night stays - please, please, please book for the exact numbers of occupants. And Please keep pets off the furniture. I have blankets you can use to cover the couch just in case of Whoops Moments or for you to snuggle with. But it takes hours to clean a dog paw printed &/or pet hair covered couch. **PLEASE NOTE: For some reason - not all of our homes are showing up on a 29 day stay or longer unless you go to the individual home's page. Typically our homes are rented to traveling professionals on 3 month stays - so everything you need is in the home. We will consider shorter term and longer occupancies though. We can customize your stay to fit your exact requirements. And we offer upgrades - larger or more TVs, King or Queen beds, single beds & cribs + even maid service. All we ask is that you please leave the home as clean as you found it, pull the linens off when you leave and put the dishes in the dishwasher and start the cycle (most of our dishwashers are energy efficient ones that take 2+ hours to complete a cycle).
