Jan,s River House worked Great for us close to Snowy Range quiet location. Did not have to ask for anything. If we needed it, it was at the house. We cooked all are meals at the house. Jan was friendly and checked in on us a couple of times. Thanks James

We had a wonderful stay at the River House. Jan and Paul were exceptional hosts. Jan reached out ahead of time to let us know about an upcoming storm and communicated regularly about the conditions of the road. Later during our stay she graciously brought over an ice pack and arnica, after my son took a spill while skiing. We all adored the unique and cozy cabin. The cabin was significantly larger than we expected, with several locations to gather and relax (including an eat-in kitchen and large cozy living room). The kitchen is incredibly we’ll stocked and the next time we visit, we’ll plan to cook our meals at the cabin. We had two adults and three children. The three kids had plenty of space in the second bedroom, which included an additional mattress tucked in an over-sized closet with room for a lamp. The location was wonderfu. It’s about 15min away from Snowy Range ski area. We can’t wait to return when it’s warmer to play on the river and to enjoy local hiking

We had two warm, peaceful nights. Cooking in was easy with a well equipped kitchen. Jan was very welcoming and hospitable.

You mostly get what you pay for but at $250 I’d recommend other options in centennial. I stayed here last year and found it quaint and rustic and an adventure for the kids. But this year I found a few things just annoying. There’s no locks on any doors inside including the bathrooms. You can’t drink the tap water but they don’t say why (bacteria?) There’s water provided though. There’s no dishwasher. The clothes washer can only manage small loads or it leaks. You can hear everything someone does in the house the walls are so thin. On the plus side, it’s cheap and it’s remote. TLDR;It was fun the first time but there’s other options.
