we really loved staying at Kaiya Nozawa. the place was really close to the gondola and the staff there were super friendly and helpful. they cooked us delicious breakfast every morning and there was a really nice communal atmosphere with the other guests. there were plenty of restaurants within a 5 minute walk and they provided all the guidance and baskets needed for the onsens. I would definitely stay there again and would highly recommend.

Had a lovely stay at Kaiya lodge, the accomodation was cozy, very clean, breakfast was great and all the hospitality staff - Trent, Amy, Mai and Momo - were perfect hosts, friendly and helpful. location is near the main gondola so good for those who wish to ski/board frequently. Walkable to the main street for restaurants. terrain in Nozawa village is hilly so just be prepared to walk up and down slopes. Mark the main host was quick to reply my Qns and sent very helpful info ahead of the trip. thanks Mark! Overall value for money stay!

The stay was interrupted due to the corona virus travel restrictions, but Mark and Yoshiko and Mariko were extremely supportive, and I look forward to future stays with them.

The lodge was lovely, spotlessly clean, friendly and helpful staff, amazing breakfast every morning, great location close to onsens and easy walk to gondola station.
