It was magical to stay in this thoughtfully reconstructed Shale village house. The bed was super comfy, the views from the house breathtakingly beautiful, and the small village charming to walk through. The hiking in the area is also fantastic! I would highly recommend a visit!

Quem procura uma experiência diferente é aqui em comunhão com a Natureza e numa aldeia pitoresca. O café da aldeia é um ponto importante para um pequeno almoço delicioso!

Whilst you are in a picturesque, tiny, stone-house mountain village, you still have all the comfort you need. The house was huge, artistically decorated and fully equipped. The breakfast was fantastic and served in a cabin overlooking the valley. There's lots of activities available in the village and of course you can go hiking in the area. Not that you need it, but the internet connection is faster than my city cable connection...

Cerdeira não é apenas uma aldeia de xisto, é um local mágico, em plena harmonia com a Natureza. A casa da azeitona é muito acolhedora, na qual a personagem (gata azeitona) desperta nos miúdos muita curiosidade! Foi maravilhoso observar os miúdos a disputar o “ninho” da Azeitona. Adorámos a estadia, o sossegado, o contacto com a Natureza e a simpatia dos anfitriões.

This really was a bit of nightmare from start to finish. The location is great but that's where the fun ended. We worked hard to try to get things sorted but failed completely. No check in ("Guest access-Host greets you" - nope), no check out, no help with bags, near totally un-responsive owner, almost all of our few and reasonable requests refused. We had construction and or shocking leaf-shredder noise going until 21:30 on 2 of our 3 nights (there was very little "space in harmony with nature" due to this). Among the staff the only one I could see wearing a mask while we were there was the manager (zero of the owners family that we could see wore anti SARS-Cov-2 masks while we were there). The host offered to extend but not via AiBnB. We had no hot water on the first night and had to take cold showers. We were asked to move house after the fist night - very inconvenient. The location is amazing - but there are other Schist villages in the area - this one is quite touristy. There was also zero breakfast despite what was advertised. The kitchen was far form fully quipped - the fridge was old and the rest of the kitchen was basic IKEA stuff. The showers are those basic tiny box showers that barely have enough room for 1 person. There was a lot of work still being done throughout our entire 4 days 3 nights there (we had a whole internet installation go down in our house while we were there - we had to also the guy to wear a mask). BTW they don't really explain that there is no grocery shop in the village so you have to bring everything in. Driving directions were only in Portuguese. There was no clothes washing facilities. There was no mop (which we needed) in the first house. The "Wifi Continuous access" only arrived on day 3. You would need a flight engineer to work out the heating and hot-water systems. The parking is 600+ meters from the house. Didn't see clothes hangars in the second house. The pricing is way way higher than other equivalent stuff in the area - not a good deal and overall their attitude just stank.
