Lovely spacious cottage, very well equipped and everything was spotless. We enjoyed the two bathrooms and the large living room. It was very well heated and had plenty of hot water. The location is perfect to explore the southeast, especially counties Wicklow, Wexford and Carlow, the sea and the Wicklow mountains are just around the corner!
Wonderful cottage get away. Orla was a great host and the cottage was very beautiful with amazing views.
Lovely spacious cosy place with a separate room set up that is perfect for remote working (wifi connection is good). Very peaceful and quiet; so nice waking up to birdsong. Dark sky area for star gazing and close to Avoca village. Larger supermarkets in Arklow about 15min drive away. Warm, plenty of hot water and a well equipped kitchen. Quirky old style with some beautiful decor touches that contribute to a really lovely ambience. Beautiful grounds which I’d say would be gorgeous in summer time. Would also highly recommend nearby red kite walk, I wasn’t disappointed - lots of red kites there (but also spotted flying around house)

Two sisters - Orla and Fionuala - own and adore this charming cottage. It holds dear memories and offers both sanctuary from the pressures of everyday life and all it entails. Being active, creative, busy ladies who have a hard time staying still, Grasville Cottage also keeps both sisters happy with countless pottering possibilities available both indoors and out! It is a weekend escape for Orla, her husband Gerry, and family and has become a revitalizing yearly retreat for Fionuala on her annual return from the craziness of living in today's United States. While Orla and Gerry may be Dublin-based and Fionuala resides in California, they share remarkable similarities in their love for the outdoors, for gardening, for exploring new places, for making the world a better and more beautiful place, and for creating happy sanctuaries to be enjoyed and shared with family, friends and similarly-minded people. We truly hope that you find our sweet cottage and everything it has to offer just as delightful as we do!
