Great location if you don’t wanna stay in Varadero but be just outside of it. Claudia was very attentive host. Place was right in the center of Santa Marta. Truly airbnb place not just a room with small bathroom like many places in Cuba. If i come back definitely would come back. I am not sure about the pool those it get filled and is it in use. I didn’t need it so didn’t bother asking but loved the privet terrace!

Everything is first class, the large private terrace with a beautiful view of the city is particularly good. The host is extremely friendly and helpful, perfect for newcomers who don't know their way around Cuba. I recommend the accommodation with all my heart and will definitely come back here myself.

Fernando's guest suite is a studio apartment on the third floor of a residential house. With a separate access, it offers privacy and a good view of the neighborhood. Located at the edge of Santa Marta, just outside Varadero, it's a 5-10 minute walk to the beach bus route. With plenty of restaurants in the area, the nearest being about 100 meters from the house, we found the location great. Mayelin, Claudia's mom, was an excellent host. Being our first trip to Cuba, we didn't know much, and she helped us through the money exchange process, local transportation, suggested activities and where we could book them, etc. Always responsive to our needs, our stay in Varadero was easy thanks to her.
