Dibya's place has pretty much everything you'd need and is in a great location but his behaviour sadly ruined the experience for me. Some issues were unavoidable - the walls are VERY thin - but Dibya is inconsiderate. I was kept up by Dibya sitting at the table directly outside my room talking until midnight. Dibya repeatedly smoked indoors. There was no breakfast, despite it being advertised as included on the listing. I was told nothing at check in - no explanation as to accessing clean water, where the coffee maker is, how to work the shower, where spare blankets are etc. When I stayed there, two women who'd just got off a 20+ hour flight had cold showers because Dibya hadn't explained that you need to let the water run for about 5 minutes before it gets hot. The wifi is weak. He's a nice guy and clearly well-meaning, but his behaviour is profoundly rude. As a guest, there are only so many times you can text someone saying 'please be quiet' or 'would you mind smoking outside?' before you start to feel unsafe at the prospect that you're irritating the only other person who has keys to your room.

Dibya's listing was exactly as expected. A no frills stay where you can feel like a local person staying in this area. Room and bathroom are clean and neat. Only thing to take note is that the walls are thin and made of glass mostly with curtains that cover them well. After 11 it's very silent in the house so sleep is never an issue. Location is perfect for travellers exploring Patan. I would definitely try to stay here again if I'm in Patan next time.

Very nice guesthouse in the middle of beautiful Patan. The building as well as the room is beautiful and so pleasing to live in. It is easy to find and the environnement is quiet as it is away from the street. I really enjoyed my stay there (2 weeks in total), it feels almost like a houseshare where guests and staffs interact and share some live music/singing/play time in the restaurant/coffee place downstairs. The hours of silence are mostly respected and I felt people were conscious. The kitchen is well furnished and working, from my point of view it should be cleaned more often as it is depending on the good will of the guests I didn't get the chance to meet Dibya as he was away, but communication was good and he was taking news of my stay which is very thoughtful. The staff is very friendly and helpful, there is always someone during the day if you need anything, they also make food, snacks and drinks in the café downstairs incase you don't want to cook. I would definitely go back there if I ever visit Kathmandu again!
