The cottage was very charming. Shona was very communicative and helpful. I think the problem with Airbnb is that most of the hosts do not visit their properties often which leads to some basic issues overlooked. There was a lot of black mold in the shower grout, some thing easy to clean, but had been overlooked. The shower was lovely and with new tile, but it wasn’t so pleasant to take a shower standing on top of the mold .The toilet seat would slide off every time you sat down on it, which was very annoying. The garbage can in the kitchen was broken so you had to lift it up with your hand instead of the foot press. Every time you wanted to throw away some thing you have to touch the dirty can.The cottage has been all renovated, but there was a few basic issues that were bothersome that you wouldn’t find in a hotel or a bed-and-breakfast with the owners on site and checking on things daily. I also feel it’s not my job to inform the host about their property -I feel put on the spot….

As everybody else as said, lovely cottage in a good spot for eating & drinking etc. Five to ten minutes walk from the town & two beautiful beaches. Shona is a good host that can always be contacted if necessary. There is plenty of public transport if needed.

Proper home from home experience! The location was perfect and allowed us to walk to all areas we needed to. House was lovely and clean had everything you needed. Only thing I’d say is that the flooring is tiles so can be chilly and made us super conscious with having a toddler bumping her head (thankfully no accidents) The only complaint I would say was there was renovation going on next door so during the day there was lots of drilling which made things difficult for nap times and times to relax for days when it was raining and we were there

In the nicer part of Fore street and everywhere in walkable distance. Remarkably quiet for its location. We went last week and we’re fortunate with the weather, which makes a big difference as we were able to make full use of the cottages outside areas, which by the way gets sun all day. A big plus is Sainsbury’s, 200 yards away for everything you need. Numerous bars and restaurants nearby and we highly recommend the boat shed. Spectacular beaches within walking distance and our favourites were Fistral, Tolcarne and especially Lusty Glaze. We have two teenage daughters who we felt safe to let them go exploring the surrounding retail. Overall this is a perfect place to stay and extremely well organised by the host. Everything you might need has been well thought out.
