Wow, what an awesome place, location, hostess with the mostess, what else can I say. We travel a lot and have stayed at many places in my walkabouts and this was by far one of the best places we’ve have ever stayed. We loved it so much that we will consider her excellent location before staying any place else, in fact we will be staying there again upon my next trip back. Johanna was so very accommodating, she had food and beer waiting for us upon our arrival, quarantine stay was a snap, the cold beer, bottled water machine, a large, modern flat panel television with hundreds of channels definitely helped pass the time away and the view was always a constant reminder of what was awaiting us. She kept us updated about everything, if we needed anything she was there. The rooms were ultra clean, the bed comfortable and the design of her location is a sight to behold. The ac was too cold (that’s a positive) and her location is very safe and secure. If you love nature walks then that walk up and down the hill will not disappoint, bring comfortable walking shoes, the walks really helped my cardio. She has been living on the island for more than 35 years and her experience is top notch. We stayed here with our 9 year old and we highly recommend it! The location is great and the view is amazing. We enjoyed grilling on the deck after long days at the beach. Joanna is very organized and kindly picked us up from the airport and took us to the grocery store. My son loved watching all the adorable little lizards outside (none inside lol!). Grande Anse beach is an easy 8 minute walk down the hill and it is one of the best beaches I have ever seen in all of the Caribbean and South America. A couple not to miss highlights: do a private sail charter with Savvy...it was our favorite thing we did, grab chairs in front of 61 West and get drinks and food while relaxing on the beach, Victory Bar in Port Louis for lunch and use Leroy as a taxi driver anywhere you go (Johanna provides his number). Enjoy!
