We are in love with this little island Oasis. The house is spotlessly clean, spacious, well laid out, has everything you need for your stay with or without kids, and on the northern part of the island which is very quiet and peaceful. The garden overlooks nothing but ocean and its waves crashing along the rocks. The vista allows you to imagine anywhere you want to be. If you want a break from Dakar, even if you want to work from the house for a week, it is perfect. Balde the Gaurdian is one of the nicest most professional men and truly takes pride in his work. Khady is very communicative, responsive, generous and a wonderful host. I cant say enough good things. we hope to come back time and time again. Thank you!

Great private "compound" for our family of 6. We loved sleeping to the ocean breeze and the sound of the waves. It was very private and relaxing. The beach and local restaurants were within walking distance. Khady was very responsive and helpful and Ibrahima was great to have there on site and to help us catch the boat over and back.

This was our second stay at Khady’s and it’s one of my favorite places in the world. The ocean views just over the garden wall are magnificent, the sound of waves will lull you to sleep at night. The villa is an oasis of peace, and keeper Ibrahim truly makes the house a home. Elisabeth who cleans is also incredibly sweet. Treat them well as they are worth their weight in gold. Also be sure to cuddle and love on the orange cat that visits daily. This place is paradise and I hope to return for a third stay soon. Thank you, Khady for being a gracious and wonderful host. Your space helped us create memories to last a lifetime and for that we are so grateful.

Khady is incredible and this house is a perfect getaway! We had been staying in other busy areas in Gambia and Dakar, so it was nice to find this oasis to relax and retreat into some peaceful nature and quiet. Khady is super responsive and helpful, I felt supported with anything I needed. Ibrahim, the care taker, is incredibly attentive, friendly, and easy to work with. I would recommend this spot to anyone visiting Dakar!

From beginning to end, this was a perfect stay for us. Ibrahim, the caretaker met us at the docks, got us in the short boat ride, and checked us into the villa. It was absolutely beautiful from the red walls to the green garden to the open style rooms to the oceanfront. And it was so peaceful, day and night. The rooms were spacious and well taken care of. There was even a fruit basket waiting for us. Our girls loved the space and the chance to finally run around on grass, play in the tidal pools, swim in the pool, and dig in the sand box. We ordered in a few meals from neighboring restaurants on the other side of the island and the deliveries worked great. We cannot wait to come back for another wonderful stay. This is now our home away from home here in Dakar.
