Huge villa in a nice location

Highly recommend a stay at Al Podere! What a beautiful villa, with incredible views. The highlights of the location is the 3 minute walk to the small town, Monte San Savino where you can find amazing restaurants, coffee shops and bakeries. Not to mention the history of the town with lots to explore. We spent our week exploring local small towns less than an hour away (Pienza, Siena, and a bike tour of Montepulciano) and enjoying the pool at the villa. Our electricity costs weren’t too bad, coming to 100e for the week with 6 people. Granted we didn’t use aircon or cook much! We did need to buy our own hand wash, body wash, dish detergent and laundry detergent which was fine. Our hosts Letizia and Dino where absolutely exceptional. From meeting us and showing us around, and hosting us for pizza to watch the NZ rugby games. We are so lucky to have met them and witness their beautiful spirit and hospitality. I really hope we can come back one day!

Al Podere is a really wonderful house! The pictures do not do it justice. The inside is cosy and charming but the outside is just incredible. The pool area is stunning, and the big outdoor dining terrace was perfect, with gorgeous views of the Tuscan countryside. The location is also fantastic, right beside Monte San Savino, a tiny medieval town. We loved popping in for coffee in the morning and for concerts and dinner in the evening (would recommend le Bindi). Dino and Leticia met us at the house and were incredibly nice (despite the language barrier!). We did not meet Monika but the communication was smooth and fast. Be aware that the extra electricity costs can be high, we paid 225 for 1 week (we used some air con but not all night, and we used the hottub once). We were 9 adults, in some of the bedrooms there is a bit less privacy because the wall does not go all the way to the ceiling, but it didn't bother us much. We had a perfect Tuscan holiday here!

Vi hadde helt supert opphold! Nydelig beliggenhet med muligheter til gangavstand både til et sentrum, olivenlunder og basseng ved huset. Veldig koselig husverter, som møter oss med kake og hjemmelagd vin. Artig også med pizza fra deres restaurant levert til huset. Veldig gjestfrie og hyggelige! Hagen er bare heeelt nydelig!!!

Location, location, location! What a wonderful place the villa is located in. We could walk to the old streets of Monte San Savino within minutes! The house is old and rustic, so you do get that authentic Tuscany feel… The pool area is fantastic with a very clean pool and a spa pool situated right beside it. The kids spent the whole time swimming and enjoying themselves (not to mention the adults). Lots of places to eat around here and the quality was superb. TripAdvisor was accurate with recommendations so we enjoyed the local quinine immensely. A couple of things to be aware of: power costs can be excessive. We used no aircon, turned off lights always and were very frugal with power usage but still incurred €150 for extra power costs. Just something to be aware of. House wifi seemed very limited. We had to turn on our international roaming - so maybe be prepared to get an ESim for your travels. The owners were wonderful and would recommend dealing with them, once booked.
