A warm welcome despite us arriving later than expected. This is a true gem of a place.the property is absolutely gorgeous. Bev was the perfect host. Nothing too much trouble for this Amazing lady who goes above and beyond expectations to ensure you have an amazing experience. It is a very peaceful place and we loved walking around the huge 32 Acres with lots of different paths and lots of wild life and great views. The room is massive with everything required. Clean and fresh with central heating as well as a log burner which was just amazing to sit in front to finish off our evenings. It was only the two of us but could easily accommodate a family. Very well lit with views From 3 different aspects. It has its own private entrance.Very tranquil setting with duck ponds immediately outside and regular visits from all sorts of locals including red squirrel, deer and playful singing birds as well as the resident ducks. It really is a fantastic value for money place to stay.

I usually don’t leave long reviews outside of acknowledging basics for a good/bad Airbnb stay. For this stay I felt the need to elaborate on the quality of my host & stay in general. This was hands-down the BEST Airbnb experience I have ever had. Bev went above & beyond in every aspect of hosting. The rental was clean & ready for our arrival. She offered to make us food because we had just recently got off the plane from the U.S. & were exhausted. Pictures were sent well in advance to help us find the house. When we arrived, she greeted us with fresh firewood, a map of the property, welcome letter, Wi-Fi info, a menu for complimentary bfast every morning, among other things. Upon inquiring about taxi’s in the area to take us to our whiskey tasting the next morning, she offered to drop us off and pick us up. We had rented an EV (our first time) & her husband looked at the car to see if their charger would fit. Our 1st time in Scotland was met with Bev & set the tone for our entire trip.

Beautiful location - peaceful, quiet and private. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the home baked goods a treat. We loved everything about our stay at The Lake House and Bev was a delightful host.

De ontvangst en het verblijf waren in 1 woord GEWELDIG! Elke dag werd ons bed opgemaakt en de kamer onderhouden, een heel erg lekker Engels ontbijt elke ochtend,...als we s avonds thuis kwamen stond er steeds een stuk vers gebak op ons te wachten. BEV is terecht een superhost! wij komen terug. Wat een toplocatie!
